Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Deer In Ocean County: Police

A man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a deer in Ocean County, authorities said.

The 63-year-old man was driving south on Warren Grove Road at around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, the Barnegat Police Department said in a Facebook post. The deer went on the road from the east and caused the crash.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Southern Ocean Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the Stafford Township hospital.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department and Barnegat firefighters helped police at the scene. Paramedics from Hackensack Meridian Health and Quality Medical Transport also responded.

Barnegat police are investigating the crash.
